Water Sources:

Longhorn: one storage, 3 troughs, 4 earthen tanks, creek
Root Plow: one storage, 3 troughs, 1 earthen tank
Windmill: one storage, 1 trough, 1 earthen tank
Eagle: one storage, 3 troughs, 1 earthen tank
Front: one storage, 4 troughs, 3 earthen tanks
House: 4 earthen tanks, creek
Trap: hq storage, 2 troughs, 2 earthen tanks









	Four stations, with 2500 gallon tanks, were installed February 2009 in the Longhorn, Eagle, Root Plowed, and Front pastures. In the Windmill pasture, a water line was laid to a trough 1/2 mile away. Two satellite troughs from the LH water station were laid towards Main Sendero May '09.

It's difficult to tell from the photos how much the depth was increased but after we using a level it was determined most tank bottoms were increased anywhere from 5 to 12 feet.
There are a few more to do but for the most part we are ready for the rain.

Update:
Feb,Mar,April: We are installing water stations throughout the ranch. Once this is done we will branch out from the tanks with more troughs.
May: Finally received 3-4" on the south side, and 1-2" on the north.
June: Chris and I put in more troughs. Hot
July: Tanks are still holding water and look good. As of July 13, we have added 5 more troughs to the existing 4.
August: Some of the smaller tanks are drying up fast. Large tanks are OK. Game cameras went up Aug 12&13. More troughs put in. Still hot...and dry.
September: More troughs were put in. A total of 13 have been installed adding to the existing three. 2.5" of rain has fallen so far by 9-23-09. One more tank was cleaned out in the the house pasture.

We added a washer-dryer pair to the ice machine room in addition to the new-used ice machine. An reverse osmosis (RO) unit was added, as well, to supply
the ice maker and a water fountain mounted outside the door.

New lodge doors were added this past summer since the old ones were semi-transparent.

The grande BBQ pit needed a make-over so Chris went to town on it with the welder and torch.

A drain was added through the parking lot to minimize the mud when it rains. It still gets really muddy and slick.

We added a few palm trees to the front yard to simulate some sort of oasis but since it dropped down in the 20s this winter we're not sure if they made it.

The "coolerCAM" was added in December to view what's in the cooler from the website.
